A force of nature in Canadian tech, leadership, & social innovation

My work has been recognized for the impact I’ve created and I have been nominated for the DMZ Women of the Year award (2022), the RBC Women of Influence Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards (2020, 2021), and am recognized by BetaKit as one of the Top Women in Canadian Tech Worth Following. I am known as a bold speaker, insightful writer, designer, educator, mentor, and student of systems thinking. Others have called me a shift disturber—a title I embrace.

I am driven by a deep commitment to equity, and believe diversity and inclusion aren’t just values—they’re powerful growth strategies and essential leadership competencies. I work to amplify these principles across industries, from tech startups to established enterprises.

My purpose is to authentically connect with others, leading with empathy and integrity, towards discovering opportunities for positive impact. I’m here to co-create opportunities that leave a lasting, positive impact on individuals, organizations, and communities.

So, what’s the impact you’re ready to make?

Karen is an exceptional connector of people, organizations and ideas. She’s great at it because she is genuinely interested in helping others achieve their goals, passionate about the organizations she chooses to work with and highly receptive to new ideas.

SPEAKING

I am not a motivational speaker; I’m a reality check.

CONSULTING

Business design means taking an intrapreneurship approach to meeting your strategy goals. It means looking at your whole business — not just your digital strategy, your operations or marketing & communications strategy.

It’s both/and.
